I cannot get my temperature controls to go to cold. The system always stuck in heat mode. Also when you turn on the AC it only blows cold on the passenger side while hot air continues to blow out of the driver side. I have replaced the blend door actuator directly under the center of the dash close to the floor but that did not correct the issue.

Hi,

I attached a picture below showing the left side actuator. Is that the one you replaced? If it is, remove it and see if it responds to when you change air temperature for the left side.

Let me know.

Thank you for the reply. I just recently had surgery and am not able to take apart the actuator right now. I did want to reply though and also tell you that it isn't just the left side stuck on hot. Both sides stay on hot even when the temperature control is all of the way down on cold. When the A/C is on only the passenger side blows cold. thanks again.

Hi Greg,

I hope you are doing well. Any surgery isn't a fun thing. I want to confirm something. It sounds like the blend door is working on the right side. However, I'm not sure why it goes hot with the AC off. Do you mean that when you select a specific air flow direction is when the AC works properly? Does the air flow direction work properly? For example, when you change from floor to defroster or panel vents, does it seem to work how it should?

Let me know.
