I had radiator/fan/thermostat/timing belt and all diving belts replaced last June. Very recently started showing high reading on temperature gauge and had replaced all three sensor units, but right after that head gasket was blown off and had new head gasket oil seal and all intake/exhaust valves replaced. The car runs like a dream but the temperature gauge issue is still not solved.
Extremely frustrated and unhappy about the out come. Any heavenly ideas?

It sounds like the vehicle is driven pretty regularly is this true? Does it overheat at all? You said it drives great but the gauge is just high. We would need to see if the temp gauge is accurate or not. I know you said you replaced the sensors but have you taken a infrared temp gauge and checked your upper and lower radiator hoses and then around your engine block. Lastly the thermostat and hosing. We are looking for even temp readings all around the engine. Obviously the coolest place will be the lower radiator hose and progressively getting hotter as you go through the system. What you are looking for are any hot spots which will indicate a possible blockage.

KASEKENNY1.
Thank you very much for the response. No the Civic is a second car. Based on the weather I will use it from two to three days a week, alternating between another vehicle. Infrared check no. But other checks such as cold and hot upper/lower hoses are checked with touch. I did not bleed the radiator at all. It that the culprit? Do not laugh at it please.I am going to find out. However relay fuse and fan switch has been tested and passed with the direct from the battery current and wire clip jumper methods. Like I said no leaks because all hoses are replaced along with new clamps. Again thank you very much I will put the update.
Love this site.

Yes. It is very likely that there is an air pocket. Air pockets can cause a false reading in your gauge. Start with that as that is easiest and doesn’t cost anything.

Glad you’re enjoying the site. Keep us posted and we can go from there if more assistance is needed.
