Instrument cluster replacement?

The truck had been laid up over winter and the battery needed replacing. It then appeared that none of the gauges in the cluster were working except for the oil pressure and battery level. I have removed the cluster but couldn't find any signs of cold joints. I'm not sure how to read the diagrams regarding checking for live and earth to the cluster. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

This is common when the cluster goes out and needs to be rebuilt. here is a video showing the job being done on a similar car:

Instrument cluster does not work right, water temperature jumps up and down. Speedometer comes and goes so does the rest of the gauges.

Hello,

This happens when the cluster wears out due to faulty electronics or a cold solder joint. Here is a video of what you are in for when removing the cluster to have it rebuilt or installing a used one:
