Thetemperature gauge went all the way up and light came on my girlfriend is driving it. She said she turned heat off and it went down but not for long. Then went back moments later.her drive is 30 to 40 mins work it went up and down a few times during this time but was up w the light on a lot longer than down. Does anyone know what could b wrong

check coolant level if low have system pressure checked for leaks, may be a head gasket

I was low on oil the other day thought I had a slight tick so checked it would that blow a gasket
