TCS light on, transmission related issue

I had an almost new tire patched today. No problems driving home. No problems driving my fiancé to work. Shortly thereafter, however, my TCS light came on and off intermittently (not blinking). I also noticed starting almost simultaneously the transmission would gear up much more quickly than usual until it was comfortable in the 3rd-going to 4th gear. I’ve tried turning it off and starting it back up but if I sit there for a couple minutes that dang TCS light comes on eventually. Ideas?

Hi,

Most times, the TCS is affected by a wheel speed sensor (ABS). Where is what I suggest first. We need to check for diagnostic trouble codes. They should point us in the right direction.

If you are unable to do that, then I would suggest testing each of the wheel speed sensors. All you will need is a voltmeter or multimeter. Here is a link that shows how it's done:
