Check engine light has been on with code p0011. Mechanic changed oil and replaced cam sensors for this code. Now after this car ran fine no more hard start. But check engine will not go away. Now my car randomly goes into limp mode. Only check engine will be lit when I start the car I will drive a little bit and then TCS and slip come on and car goes into limp mode. Mechanic disconnected my two front wheel speed sensor and we tested the car and it drove better. Then went into limp mode again. My question is, what is happening? If I restart the car limp mode goes away and I can drive again.

Hi and thanks for using 2carpros, com.

If the computer senses one of the wheels is slipping, the traction control kicks in and limits the power from the engine. I believe that is why you are experiencing what is commonly known as limp mode.

What needs to be done is this. When the TCS light is on, the computer needs scanned to determine if it is a sensor related issue and which one.

It sounds like one of the sensors is failing, sending a false signal, and causing the TCS to stay engaged.

Have that done and let me know what code is found.

Take care,
Joe
