I need to tap into a keyed power source for an external wiring harness. I have not been able to find a good solution under the hood. Where should I look to find a good power source for when key in run position?

Thanks

Probe back of the fuse box for a switched power supply. check the fuse information in your owners manual. you may have a spare fuse for such a purpose installed.

Use a test light to check for power when the key is in the on position. How many amps are you looking for with the accessory you are using?
