I need to tap into a keyed power source for an external wiring harness. I have not been able to find a good solution under the hood. Where should I look to find a good power source for when key in run position?

Thanks

Probe back of the fuse box for a switched power supply. Check the fuse information in your owners manual. You may have a spare fuse for such a purpose installed.

Please clarify what "probe back of the fuse box" means.

Use a test light to check for power when the key is in the on position. How many amps are you looking for with the accessory you are using?

Please let us know
