Tail lights not working

I just bought 1984 300zx turbo. The brake and reverse lights are not working. So I did some research and found out that im missing tail stop lamp sensor its white. What I need to know is there two or one? Or is there something else. The break light switch is fine so r the fuses. Any help would be great.

Start with testing for power at the sockets and work your way back.

Check power with a test light at brake light switch and back up lioght switch

check all fuses with a test light for power

Yes there is power. But will the tail lights work without that sensor? Not sure if I need 2 or one this is what it looks like

They were working then it got towed to a junk yard cuzz the old owner got a flat tire and was going to just give it to the junk yard cuzz he was or is a lazy person who don't care about anything. So I got the title from him and went and picked the car up from the junk yard and he started pulling stuff out near the rear break lights. I know im missing the sensor but I don't know if I need two or one there is two wires now hanging near the break lights that have a 6 prong plug that I don't know what they go too im thinking they plug into those sensors that im missing.
