Hi, I replaced the monitor display, entire unit, on my car listed above. Now, some functions work, others don't. The controls for a/c, heat, radio work. However, there's no GPS/maps, no back up camera, etc. I've read that when these are replaced, they need to be "reprogrammed" for the sync 2 system to work.

Is this true? If so, is there a DIY way of doing it without taking it to the dealer, and spending an arm and leg? Of not, any idea price?

Also, I now have some dash lights on that weren't before. Airbag. Traction. Hill assist. Could these be related to the monitor, or perhaps I have an issue with the dash connectors? Thanks!

Hello, yes, the system will need to be synced when something new has been installed. Also, you might want to make sure that the connections are good, and the wires go where they need to. You may be getting some communication errors between modules; they can be a mess when doing electrical repairs. Unfortunately, you will have to have access to a dealer's scan tool to reinitialize the system.

Hope this helps,
William
