I know that my sway bar needs to be replaced, however I haven't gotten that done yet. I was pulling into my driveway when I hear a loud noise that came from the front part of my car? My question is what is the sway bar connected too, and what am I looking at as far as further damage?

The anti-sway bar is only replaced if it is broken, and that is very rare. It's the links that commonly break and need to be replaced. They connect the ends of the bar to the left and right lower control arms. Those are the suspension parts that allow the wheels to move up and down. The intent is to keep them at the same height so the body stays level on high-speed corners. Broken links can make a lot of noise but they don't do much additional damage.
