swapping parts

2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU

My car needs a new alternator and starter. I also have a 2004 Impala. Can I swap the parts from the Impala to the Malibu? Would they be compatible? Looking at replacement parts online for both vehicles, the parts seem to be the same. Thank you in advance.

So do both Vehicles have the same engine size?

The Malibu has a 2.2L engine and the Impala has a 3.4L engine.

The 2.2L and 3.4L engines are totally different.
