Am going to replace the thermostat. Looks like the hose coming off the return is solid. When I remove the cover nuts will the cover move? Or will there be more brackets holding the solid pipe on? Also where is the drain petcock?

drain plug is at bottom of radiator, closer to the side (not sure which) than it is to the middle. to replace the thermostat you have to remove the fan shroud with the cooling fan after you disconnect the radiator inlet hose from the radiator. than you can remove the thermostat cap (aka housing) and replace thermostat..
