i am replacing the right front fender, how do i detach the antennae

Activate the antenna switch to the up position, if applicable.
Using wrench or needle-nose pliers, loosen and remove the original retaining nut on the base of the antenna mast.
Gain access to the underside of the area where the antenna is located.
Remove the bracket or brace that is below the hole and holding the antenna in place.
Remove the mast.
