1998 Suzuki X90 Car shuts off

1998 Suzuki X90

A friend of mine has one of these cars and she says the car will just die on her. The lights goes out and the engine stalls. She turns off the ignition and the car starts up and runs fine. I am thinking this is a computer problem? How much would it be to fix?

start by having the vehcile plugged into a diagnostic computer to check for fault codes stored
