1997 Suzuki Grand Vitara Whine on front transmission

With the front of the car jacked up and turning the wheel I can here a squeak a bit like that you would get from rubber. When I drive the car there is a mild droan at about 60/70 mph.
There is no rumbling or grinding.
Is this a concern or does it need repairing.
The car is a Vitara not a Grand Vitara.

have the wheel bearings checked
