Engine Performance problem
1992 Suzuki Vitara 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Morning i have a vitara 1.6 16valve LWB the problem i have is the car will start normally on a cold engine and will run fine until the engine gets warm or if you need to restart the engine. Then we need to wait until the engine cool down before restarting. It will couch and splutter and back fire and smell very long of fuel. The last time this happened it riped the back box wipe open. I`ve been told that it could possibly be the air temp sensor. Its also using alot of fuel. Can you help me or advise me what i need to get.

Hi there, you will need to run a scan and check for any unresolved fault codes, and ideally you need a good mechanic to run a live data test on a hot start to see if there is anything the ECU is picking up.
