Hi,
I only got my car a few days ago, the first time I took it out yestaday half way through a short journey it sounded like something had fallen off ! I stopped and checked but everything appeard fine. Today when I started the car it makes a horrible rattling noise. Iv had a look under the bonnet and a belt has fallen off ! (Im sure its the fan belt as the battery light is on to). But should it be making this awfull noise if it is just the belt?

Hi there,

There should not be any noises like that, with out hearing the noise it is a bit hard to come to a conclusion, so I would have the belt replaced and get a mechanic to check all the pulleys and bearings as something is failing, get this done asap.
