Please help! Twice today I started my car, in extreme cold, and after about 2 minutes of running idle it suddenly started idling really high. How do I make it stop doing this? I tried popping out on the clutch to see if I could make it almost stall, and that did not work. Could the extreme cold be making something stick?

Could be a kinked accelerator cable, binding acc. linkage and binding throttle plate-vacuum leak
