2007 Suzuki Reno Cannot get car out of park.

I own a 2007 Suzuki Reno, and from time to time I have trouble getting the car in gear. It like I get in turn the key press the brake and try to put it in drive and I cannot get the gear selector to move. The I have to take tke the key out, and put it in the little hole beside the gear selector, put the car in neutral. The I am able to restart the car and put in into gear. How can i fix the prombem.

Could be a problem with the brake switch if not get the shift interlock control system checked out-
