1996 Other Suzuki Models pops out of gear

whenever I attempt to shift into 1st, 3rd or 5th, the shifter only seems to barely engage the gears and then tries to pop out of gear. there is no problem with 2nd, 4th and reverse. The problem started slowly with 1st gear, now it is actually difficult to put the transmission into any of the forward facing gears. If I manage to get it into gear it will usually stay engaged. How do I go about adjusting the shifter or is there possibly another problem?

Hi there,

Have the gear selector mechanism checked for adjustment first, i feel it is not selecting the gear fully.
