2001 Suzuki Esteem oil coming out of dip stick hole

2001 Suzuki Esteem 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my brother lost the oil dipstick to my car, and ive been driving without it for months. I've noticed over the past few weeks oil coming from the front of my car. When I lift the hood I cant see exactly where the oil is coming from or simulate the problem. Could the oil be coming from where the dipstick was, or could there be another problem?

I would be replacing the dip stick, as oil will be splashing up through the tube with out the dip stick in place.
