2002 Suzuki Aerio change tire size-speedometer reset?

I recently changed the tires from 14" to 16" but checked the diameter of both to find it's only changed a half inch taller. If the speedometer read differently because of this, how would i fix it where it needs to be?

the speedometer use's readings from the transmission/gearbox not wheel revolution !!
