Suv Honda passport gets hot heater not working

Vehicle over heating due to crackd radiator repaired crackd radiator with JB WELD radiator was crackd on top by lower connection of cap vehicle drives fine but over heats fast within 5 min. Remove cap when hot steam comes out no water just alot of steam pour water in it appears to be low put cap back on temp goes normal drive 20-30 minutes as soon as come to red light or stop vehicle turns off temp neddle goes to H let vehicle sit 5-10 because won't start so remove cap let steam out pour water then Temp needle goes to normal again procedure repeats itself this whole time heater on high no hot air

All of these symptoms can be caused by an air pocket under the thermostat that needs to be bled out. Look for a bleeder screw on the thermostat housing, or a temperature sending unit on or near the housing that can be removed. Fill the radiator while something is opened to let the air out.
