This just started yesterday. When driving 0 to around 35 MPH I hear loud screeching and thumping from the front driver side tire area. I'm thinking it's a ball bearing since it's always at low speed and I don't hear popping when I turn or hit a bump. Just wanted to get an opinion just to be sure before I change it. Forgot to add there is vibration coming from steering wheel but other than that, there's no issue controlling the vehicle.

Hi,

Certainly, it can be a bearing. It could also be the brakes on that side. Here is what I need you to do: When you hear the noise, (in a safe area) turn left and right to see if the sound or pitch changes. If it does, then I would suspect a bearing issue. If there is no change, next check to make sure the brakes are okay, and the squealer isn't making noise to indicate the pads need to be replaced.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
