When driving on the road even on a smooth surface and not hitting ant bumps my vehicle makes a squeaking sound. If I get out and rock the truck I am not able to hear it. When I took it to a couple of dealers the best answer that I got was that it was not loud enough to pinpoint (must have been hard of hearing). I also noticed that sometimes when I pull away from a curb you hear that squeaking as well.

Shift between "drive" and "reverse" while holding the brakes applied. If you hear the squeak each time you shift, the best suspect is something related to an exhaust system hanger or a heat shield.

There is a tool you might be able to borrow or rent from an auto parts store that borrows them called the "Chassis Ear". It is a set of six microphones, a switch box, and headphones. You clip the microphones to suspect points, then drive around while listening with the headphones. You can move the microphones around to zero in on the source of the noise. Be aware that many mechanics have never seen or even heard of this tool. Suspension and alignment mechanics use it to find rattles, squeaks, and other noises.
