I am tring to replace the idler arm on the car but everyone that I am buying does not fit I want to know does it matter if the replacement part has 3 or 4 holes on the one side of the idler arm

There's two mounting holes in idler arms. Can you post a photo of the part you have?

go to auto parts and ask for MOOG they are about best piece on market and are correct pic shows it from rock auto
