I had driven to a convenience store, parked the car. I went back out to leave and started the car. It started, revved, then the engine slowed down and shut off. I started it again and it started and ran okay. What would you say about that? I actually have no idea what the mileage is on the car. It runs "like a top" and gets me from here to there.

Hi,

If it only happened once, it may simply be a fluke. Did it start right back up without issue? Does the check engine light stay on while the engine is running?

Let me know. There are a few things that can cause the engine to react like that such as fuel pressure, an engine vacuum leak, or an issue with the throttle position sensor or idle air control valve. Additionally, the mass air flow sensor can make crazy things happen as well.

Let me know as much as you can as far as my questions. Also, here is a link you may find helpful:

Let me know.

So far only this once. I haven't had the check engine light come on or stay on while the engine is running.
Yes, it started right back up without issue. I guess tomorrow will tell a tale.

Hi,

How did things turn out for you? Any problems? By chance, did the check engine light come back on or did the engine stall?

Let me know.

Take care,

joe
