Hi, my door ajar light won't turn off when the door is closed. This leaves lights radio etc. on after leaving the car. If I slam the door it goes out but I don't want to keep slamming the door. On older cars there is a mechanical switch but this one has no switch visible anywhere. Can you tell me where the switch/sensor is so I can fix it?

it may be a bad door lock or a remote accessory module.have it scanned first to see if module is bad then check to see if door lock wire has become disconnected and or door lock has broken inside to make contact.

Thanks but it just came out of the shop and the only codes were the cam sensor. Also had a bad coil and plug wire. I forgot to tell him about the door so he didn't look at that. Now he's on vacation for 2 weeks. I'll check the wire etc. myself tomorrow and see what's what.
Thanks again

as long as the codes wre pulled with a pro scanner then you are good but if an autoparts one was used it wont' pick up anything other than engine/trans codes

Codes were pulled with a Snap-On scanner at a repair shop, so I think they would have been listed like the others were. The shop I take it to lists the codes and what they're for on the tickets.
Thanks
