Sunroof tries to slide using the tilt button and when using the slide button it tilts?

I just replaced the sunroof motor for the tilt/slide but during the initialization I pressed between the tilt and slide button during the initialization and the sunroof responded(stopped) and ended the initialization.

Now the slide wants to run when pressing the tilt but only goes back about 2 inches and stops. When pressing the slide button, the sunroof tilts, and goes its full range. The replacement motor is the correct one.

How can I reset the sunroof? The traditional methods of initialization did not work. I also disconnected the positive computer cable quick disconnect from the battery for about 1 hour and that did not help either.

Any other suggestions/cause and solution for this would greatly be appreciated. Thank you

Yep, it sounds like the initialization failed or the new motor is defective. Can I ask if the replacement was an OEM unit? Here are the instructions they give when doing the job so you can make sure the installation and programming was done correctly. Check out the images (below).
