Sunroof interior panels

Front panel is off track. Rear panel must be in car roof. Everything else works great. Do not know how to put panel back on or new rear panel when I get one. The car is a 2002 xj8. I was opening sunroof and then closed sunroof. The rear panel did not come back with front panel. I feel two pins sticking out of sunroof track. How do I put interior front panel back on and rear one when I get new one.

I had this issue and had to replace the entire unit.

Call Great Britians in willow grove and ask for there jag tech. He has helped me many times.

I have fixed the panel situation by putting the vent up and then my head sideways. I then saw the small rear panel in car above headliner and pulled it out and putback on track and all works great now. From robert
