Sunroof not closing properly

The power sunroof will open but not close under power. It can be closed by hand. How do I fix this without spending $1,200.00 at a dealership for a new sunroof assembly? The sunroof motor still works and so does the switch. I am sure the problem is in the track or retaining rings.

The odd thing that points me to the motor and not the track or assembly is because you can close it by hand. If it were bound up then the motor nor your hand would be able to move it. So just because the motor still works doesn't mean it has the ability to move the glass any more.

I would replace the motor and then retest it. I attached the process on how to do this. Let us know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
