sudden no response to gas pedal

2006 HYUNDAI SONATA
200,000 MILES • V6 • AUTOMATIC

Put $15 of gas in at noon today then drive approx 100 miles, got into car to leave again and it's sputtering then stalling with no response when I hit the gas pedal. What is going on?? Please help...

scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge first. autoparts rent it.
