1989 Subaru Wagon 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

ok it was parked for about 6 mnths bought new tires drove it for a week then without putter, clank, or sputter rpms just dropped car slowed to a stop when tried to restart all belts turned motor remained still didnt even try could this be a timing belt issue or could a filter or pump cause the motor to just shut off? please help me...ive had this car for 6 yrs thank you

If engine turns over faster than normal like no compression then timming belt broke. Have you never had it replaced?
