Have a 2008 Outback 2.5 XT and have been having A/C problems. In the past few months, I have had the blower motor, resistor and control unit (most recently) all replaced (under warranty) but the A/C just died on me again.

Previously, the A/C would quit working and then start again the next time I drove the car. Would finally quit and I'd take it to the dealer ship.

My most recent repair replaced the master control unit, apparently they found a short in the unit. I got the car back yesterday and the blower motor was hesitating initially then making a sound like a baseball card in bicycle spokes. The A/C has now died again. Is it possible that the short in the old control unit damaged the blower motor to where it would need to be replaced again?
