Interior problem
2001 Subaru Outback

The second sunroof sounds like it is hitting a metal bracket when I try to open it. The sunshade does the same thing. My question is how do I remove the 'plastic gromets' that hold the roof liner to get at the problem? What is the metal bracket for?

Thanks

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the donation.

If the grommet is the flat type, you need to pry it off with the aid of a flat thin screwdriver on either side. It is plugged in.

I do not know which bracket you are refering to but there is a wind deflector plate, it pops out slightly when the glass is opened.
