I have been told that if my timing belt brakes it could bend my valves and possible ruining my engine. I can not find any where if my timing belt should be replaced or not. Do you know if a milage that my timing belt should be replaced?

Thanks

Hi there,

Get the belt changed now, it should have been done at 105, Miles, this is an interference type engine and valve damage will occur if the belt brakes.

All 2.5L Subaru engines are interference engines which means that it can damage the valves if breaks. The 2.2L engine though will not. You should replace the timing belt every 100,000 miles.
