1998 Subaru Outback gas peddle hard to push down

When I first start my subaru outback when I go to press down on the gas peddle I have to push down hard to make is depress. After the car warms up if I let it stand for a long time I have to push down very hard.

Hi there,

I would be thinking that the throttle body will need cleaning, the butterfly valve is sticking up with fuel residue, you can buy throttle body cleaner just follow the instructions on the can.
