1996 Subaru Outback Vibration

96 outback, 150k, automatic, 2.5. Tranny shifts smooth but at 25-30 mph theres a vibration that seems to be coming from under the car. Axles are in good shape and there is no popping. Vibration is most noticable when accelerating quickly once you hit cruising speed the car rides like a dream. What could cause this vibration?
