Subaru Headlamp

Hi,
The front left headlamp on my 2002 Subaru Outback is not working. I have changed the bulb assembly and the fuse is fine. I hope to avoid the local Subaru service charge. Any ideas?

locate the headlight relays, swap them ,if the OTHER headlight goes out and the bad one lights up , you have a bad relay.
