Overheating

I have a 1990 Subaru Legacy L 4WD. It has started overheating. The Electric Fan will run for afew minutes and then it blows the fuse and stops. What could be causing this to happen?

i'm not sure if this is the problem or not but try the following

its not going to cost to much to pull the radiator out & get both tanks tested the may be blocked or the radaiator fins themselves may be clogged otherwise there is a wiring fault somewherre
