Hi guys! i have a impreza rb5 on a 1999 plate.I am currently trying to remove the front hub (passenger side) to replace the bearing.
I have removed all the bolts holding the hub on however the hub will not release it's self from the ball joint at the bottom.
I have tried using a ball joint splitter but to no avail.
Is there a circlip or retaining feature that is not allowing it to be released?
Any help regarding the removal of this lower ball joint would be of great help and greatly apprecciated.
regards david.

there is no clip on the ball joint, sometimes they are very hard to remove, use your ball joint separator, when you have it tight between hit the control arm to jar the ball joint loose.
