Have a 90 Legacy with couple hundred thou miles on it. It's a 2.2 liter w/fuel injection(not turbo). I love this little car and can't afford to go to a shop. It's always ran great and I've never had ANY problems with the motor (well, until now).

Checked/replaced all of the sensors as well as the coils. Ran the diagnostic (from the Haynes manual) and it returned a 24 and 31. Both of these have been checked/changed. Can't run the self-test because the car must be running for this to work. Can't quite seem to get there.

The back 2 cylinders aren't getting any fire.

ANY and ALL ideas, suggestions, HELP you can give me will be GREAAAAATLY appreciated.

Check the fuel injectors by the cylinders they may be dirty and plugged. Also check the spark plugs and make sure they are gaped right. The distributor cap may be worn on the points causing improper spark.

The fuel injected car doesn't have a distributor or points.

I mean the metal tabs on the distributor caps. Not Points like old time points.
