Ok I have just bought my first roo. When i bought it it ran great when I was about halfway home the check engine light started flashing then it came on steady and has been on about a week. The car starts hard and dies when it should be idling and it has an exhaust rattle in the third gear and up from 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm So i was wondering where to get the code reader to run a diagnostic check and if any of you have an idea whats wrong with my roo.

You can have the codes read at almost any chain parts store, they all do it free, If you have an exhaust rattle, it is most likly the converter at this point. When the engine light flashes it means you could be causing converter damage! You kept going...Post the codes here, QUICK! The alternative is to return the car, get your money back?

Well...the only thing you can do is call a few garages, or a dealer and get the codes, if you expect to drive it, you must fix it!
