the air filter smells like gas it has been losing power and overheating i changed the thermostat it was bad but still overheats the car has been running strong before just wanted to be pointed in right direction to get it back

you changed thermastat asnd car still overheats, back flush the system including the radiator. sometime they can get clogged up reducing the cooling, check the belt for the right tension.
