1996 Subaru Windshield Wiper is Broken

I have a 1996 Subaru Legacy Outback Wagon. My driver's side windshield wiper recently got stuck in the ice and now won't work--the place where the arm connects to the car and rotates is very loose. The motor still works, the arm just doesn't move. I can't figure out how to fix this. Please help--there is more snow on the way!

Hi there,

Tighten the pivot nut on the end of the wiper arm, if it is already tight the pivot has stripped the serrations that lock the arm in place and will have to be replaced.
