1996 Subaru loss of all wheel drive

I have only front drive,the rear wheels are not engaging

Hi there,

You will have to have the car on a hoist to see if the rear drive shaft is driving. If not the problem will be in the transmission, if it is driving than a rear differential or drive shaft will be the problem.
