1992 Other Subaru Models clunk!!

hello
My subaru l series sports wagon has just developed a new noise when operating the clutch pedal.
It is worse when releasing the pedal under load as in going up a small hill...it is a clunk sounds like somthing has come loose...?
the clutch does not slip and both the front cvs have been replaced recently...
thanks for any help

Hi:
Is the clutch still releasing smoothly? If not, you may have a broken spring on the pressure plate. Also, check trans mounts and motor mounts.
