1991 SUBARU JUSTY 4WD 1.2 3 BANGER MAKING A LOUD POPPING NOISE PASSENGER FRONT. SOUNDS LIKE A U JOINT, BUT I KNOW THERE ARE NO U JOINTS ON FRONT WHEEL DRIVES U CAN REPLACE. DOES THIS MEAN HAVE TO REPLACE WHOLE 1/2 AXLE? WHAT HAPPEN TO OLD DAYS WHEN YOU JUST GREASE HER UP?

Front wheel drive cars have cv joints, you can get a rebuilding kit for them, or you can get a rebuilt one from a auto store. u joints are still used on some other cars and trucks. its not like the old days when you could just get u joints and put them on.
