I am replacing both intake manifold gaskets because of leaking coolant problems.

QUESTION: DO i JUST INSTALL THE GASKET BY ITSELF OR SHOULD I COAT IT WITH SOME TYPE OF SEALANT FIRST?

Hi TONYKING,

A good gasket is self sealing when it heats up and requires no additional sealants, but if the coolant port is corroded, then some sealant might be required.

CAUTION : Some sealants will cause the gasket to distort. Don't use liquid type.
