Need to replace the rear struts. I can see how to do it from the repair guide on Autozone, but unsure about how or when to deal with the springs.
At what point do I compress the springs to remove the struts?
After I take off the top bolts? These are in the wheel well.....

Any guidance is appreciated

after removing the upper and lower mounting bolts the strut should come out. then you use a coil spring compressor to compress the spring and remove
